تمثل العادات والتقاليد مجموعة من السلوکيات والطقوس التي تتوارثها الأجيال، وتؤدي دورًا مهمَّا في حياة المجتمعات، فبعضها مفيد للمجتمع مثل: التعاون بالأفراح والأحزان، وبعضها مضر مثل الخرافات والشعوذة والعصبية القبلية، جاءت عادات الطوارق لمصارعة الطبيعة والتأقلم معها؛ إذ کانت أشعارهم وأغانيهم وقصصهم ذات مساس بالمجتمع، أما مناسباتهم سواء أکانت احتفالات أو أعياد أوأعراس ذات طابع خاص درج عليها الطوارق، أما ألبستهم ولثامهم، فإنها جاءت لتلائم الطبيعة الصحراوية، أما السحر والجن والطب الشعبي جاء ليعالج بعض الأمور الاجتماعية والبدنية والنفسية، ومجتمعهم مقسم طبقيًا.
Abstract: The customs and traditions represent a set of behaviors and rituals that are inherited by generations and play an important role in the life of societies. Some of them are beneficial to society، such as co-operation with joys and sorrows، some harmful، such as superstition، witchcraft and tribal nervousness. Their customs came to wrestle with nature, and their stories and songs were harmful to society. Whether they were celebrations or holidays or weddings of a special nature drawer Tuareg, but their clothes and their time they came to suit the desert nature, while the magic and the department of folk medicine came to address some of the social, physical and psychological, and their community divided class.
