Abstract

The reactions of cattle eqret bird (0 soma inlegrateare
observed under the conditions of KafT Ef..Sheikh Govemorate. The obtained results
revealed that the repellenl effect differed considerably according 10 the type of the
treatment. When exploder applied 4 UmesJday at Ihe Interval 01 7·10 days monthly
during the dawn departure or evening return period. the effectiven6Ss of exploder
method was greatesl in dispersing egrets (rom fruit orchard as the recucuo»
percentage reached to 79%. and proved to be the most effectJve one wtlile nest
destrucUon represented the s&COO<1 rank In dlspersll"l9 cattle egret aM prevent
damage to poultry farm with reduction rate 61.9%. On the other hand. using a few
dead egrets place in clear view around the roosts. as a melhod to control egrets in

were also observed. -:-he percentage of nested trees ware the lowesl one In exploder

respec1ivety compared with untreated area 80%. Also. percentage of nests with eggs or eggs and nestlings were also
affected with methods of contrcr, as 1M maximum adverse eNeel was noticed with
exploder followed by nest destruclion and dead egret respectively compared with
untreated area.
