Abstract

Fish production considered one of major economic sectors due to its
importance role, which share to solve the problem of Gap in protein. This research is an attempt to study the fish farming and its
constrains. The result of the study shows that an increase in fish production as it
reached about 138.6 thousand tons, represents 28.8% of the total Egyptian
fish production during the period (1991·2001). The study recommends expansion of fish farming to comparison sate
the deficiency of animal proteins and limit importation & supply of feeder.
establishing business companies for production and marketing of fish, in
addition to make database for all fish production fields. The study recommends also increasing investments in this field.
