Abstract

The main objective of this research was to determine the job satisfaction
level of agricultural extension agents and to identify some of independent
variables which may affect this satisfaction. A well prepared and pre-tested questionnaire was used to collect the
data needed for this research through interviewing 200 agricultural extension
agents in some districts, Kafr EI-Sheikh Governorate. Frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, simple correlation
coefficients, multiple regression analysis and the stepwise multiple regression
analysis were used to analyze the data statistically. The main results could be summarized as follows: - The results showed that about 8.5% of respondents had a high level of
policies of work satisfaction, 56.5% had a moderate level, and 35% had a low
level. - The data showed that 48% of respondents had a high satisfaction level of
work relations, 43% had a moderate level and 9% had al low level. - The results showed that the level of work satisfaction was high for 18.5% of
the respondents, moderate for 54.5% and low for 27%. - The results showed that about 20.5% of respondents had a high level of job
satisfaction, 52.5% had a moderate level and 27% had a low level. - The multiple correlation coefficient between independent variables together
and policies of work satisfaction was statistically significant at 0.01 probability
level according to F value, this correlation means that all independent
Variables in the model were responsible for the explanation of about 27.4% of
the variance in the dependent variable. - The multiple correlation coefficient between the independent variables
together and the satisfaction of work relations was statistically significant at
0.01 probability level according to F value, this correlation means that all
independent variables in the model were responsible for the explanation of
about 39.7% of the variance in the dependent variable. - The multiple correlation coefficient between the independent variables
together and the satisfaction of work was statistically significant at 0.01
probability level according to F value, this correlation means that all the .e -..;..                                   independent variables in the model were responsible for the explanation of
about 47.7% of the variance in the dependent variable.
