The research aimed at determining levels of farmers attitudes
towards developing their strawberry exports, determining related Social
variables to these attitudes and finally identifying the most important
problems facing strawberry farmers for export purposes. Data were collected during (April-may) 2004 from "AI-tal elkbeer" and
" AI-Qantara Shark" markazes in lsmaltla governorate , and "Tokh " and "
Shebeen AI-Qanater" markazes in Qaliobia governorate through Personal
interview questionnaire with a total sample size of (400) strawberry farmers
(100 from each markaz) . The following statis.ical methods were used:
frequencies, percentages, Chi-square and Tschupro coefficient. The most important results were as follows: 1- More than half of interviewees (52.7%) had positive attitudes towardes
developing their exports from strawberry in the two governorates. 2- There was a relationship between interviewees attitudes towards
developing their exports from strawberry and the following variables: First, personal (education, agriculture information sources, formal
organization membership and agriculture information sources) (0.71).,
Next family variables (family average education years, Agricultural land
ownership, agriculture machinery ownership, dwelling condition, as all
these are related - in total - with interviewees attitudes towards
developing their strawberry exports with (0.59). 3- The study reached two main recommendations that could help in            maximizing farmers attitudes positively towards            developing their strawberry exports.
