The recent study aims to identify the degree of gender equality in education between tow subcultures in Kalyoubia and New Valley governorates. To accomplish the study objectives, tow samples were drown randomly from the rural households in " El-Ahraz “ village — Shbeen EI-Kanater district — Kalyoubia governorate and “ El—Loaa Sobih " village — El-Farafra district - New Valley govemorate. The sample size drawn from “ El-Ahraz " village was 150 households representing 5.1% of total 2947 households in the village according to estimations of year 2001. Also sample size drawn from "El-Loaa Sobih “ village was 135 households representing 28.8% of total 468 households in the village according to estimations of year 2001. The results revealed the presence of a gender gap between the education level of sons and daughters in both “ EI-Ahraz “and "El-Loaa Sobih “ villages. T-test calculated was 3.75, 2.48 respectively and it was significant at confidence level 0.01, analysis of variance was used to determine the sample differences between the gender gap in education of sons and daughters. F-test calculated was 1.84 and it was insignificant at any confidence level. Also analysis of variance was used to recognize the differences in gender gap concerning parents attitude towards girls education, F-test calculated was 0.06 and it was insignificant at any confidence level. Therefore, gender gap concerning education is one of the characteristics of the rural Egyptian society rather than the speciatization of culture of the samples.
