The grain group occupies an important position in the Egyptian agricultural economy, whether in terms of its contribution to agricultural income, or in terms of the cultivated area, or in terms of absorbing a large part of agricultural and industrial employment due to its important industries, as well as considering it as one of the main components of the diet of the population Urban and rural .
The research is concerned with the wheat crop after the global crisis between Ukraine and Russia, which are the most important wheat exporting countries to Egypt, and for fear of being exposed to a food crisis because Egypt relies on 59% of its wheat consumption on imports, and it was found that the average acre production in the old lands reached about 21 ardeb feddans, and the selling price of the ardeb reached about 569 pounds, bringing the total return of an acre to about 12,794 pounds. While the variable costs per acre amounted to about 2720 pounds, and the fixed costs per acre amounted to about 2,200 pounds, bringing the total costs of the acre to about 4,920 pounds, so the ardeb's share of the total costs is about 234.3 pounds.
The net return per acre amounted to about 7874 pounds, so the share of the ardeb of the net return is about 374.9 pounds, and thus the net return on the spent pound is about 1.6 pounds. It was found that 1% leads to an increase in wheat production in the old lands by about (0.2%, 0.11%, 0.10%, 0.3%, 0.32%, 0.14%, 0.16%) over The arrangement by assuming the stability of other factors affecting the quantity of production, and it showed the total elasticity of about 1.33, which means that the return on the increased capacity is dominant, that is, the increase in production by a greater percentage than the increase in the total resources in terms of function, which indicates that the increase in the elements of production referred to included in the estimate By 1%, it leads to an increase in production C wheat by 1.33%, and the value of the coefficient of determination reached about 0.56, which means that about 56% of the changes in the quantity of production are due to the variables taken in the model and the rest are due to changes in the factors of production included in the previous estimates, as indicated by the value of the test ( q) to about 42, and this reflects the significance of the model at a level of significance (0.05) X7, and it was found that every 1% leads to an increase in wheat production by about (0.19%, 0.21%, 0.11%, 0.16%, 0.24%, 0.12%, 0.13%) respectively, assuming the stability of the other factors affecting the quantity of production, and the total elasticity of about 1.16 was shown, which means the dominance of the return on the increased capacity, meaning that the increase in production is greater than the increase in production.
The total resources in terms of function, which indicates that the increase in the production elements referred to in the estimate by 1% leads to an increase in wheat production by 1.16%, and the value of the coefficient of determination reached about 0.6, which means that about 60% of the changes occurring in the quantity of production are due to The variables taken in the model and the rest are due to the changes in the factors of production included in the previous estimates, as indicated by the value of the test R (F) to about 54, and this reflects the significance of the model at a level of significance (0.05). It turns out that it is necessary to increase the factors by certain percentages to obtain an increase in the productivity of the wheat crop, which will benefit the product by increasing its productivity as well as raising the efficiency of the use of agricultural resources Used in the production process of the wheat crop, which in turn leads to an increase in the national product, which reduces the burden on the trade balance, in addition to the lack of reliance on external sources in the provision of food commodities.
Conclusively, from the above, it is recommended to search for :-
1-Encouraging farmers to increase the area planted with wheat by providing support from production requirements
2-Providing improved pesticides and seeds to wheat farmers to increase feddan productivity.
3-Activating the role of agricultural extension in providing recommended technical recommendations and farmers' productivity and introducing farmers to registered high-yield varieties of wheat
4-Reducing the price of seeds and fertilizers or any other available incentives and providing improved seeds and pesticides to increase the productivity of an acre of wheat.
