Abstract The Effect of a Mobile Learning-Based Program on Developing Some EFL Reading Skills and Enhancing Motivation towards Reading among Faculty of Education Sophomores. Shehata The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of using a mobile learning-based program on developing some EFL reading skills and enhancing motivation towards reading among faculty of education sophomores. The study participants were sixty second year, English section students at Faculty of Education, Sadat City University. The participants of the study were divided into two main groups (experimental and control). The participants of the experimental group were taught using the mobile learning-based program while the participants of the control group received regular instruction. The instruments of the present study were an EFL readingtest with a rubric for assessing the participants EFL reading skills and an EFL reading motivation scale to determine the participants' reading motivation in EFL reading class. Having administering the study instruments, the findings of the present study revealed that the mobile learning-based program proved to have a great positive effect on the development of EFL reading skills and enhancement of motivation towards reading among faculty of education sophomores.
