The Organization of African Unity thought of ridding the continent of the issue of colonialism and the elimination of racial discrimination. It sought to bring peace and attract investments by several measures, including the integration of economic groups spread across the continent into one group called the African Economic Community, and the priority has become to attract the heads of The funds required to invest to make African wealth a competitive force in the global economy. There are some institutions and mechanisms established under the umbrella of the African Union that have contributed to achieving a percentage of African peace and security, such as the African Peace and Security Council, the African Panel of Wise Men and the Peace Fund. The African Union has worked to achieve greater economic and political integration among the countries of the African continent and to complete the process of African collective action through a plan that goes through three stages until 2030 The relations between the United Nations and the African Union have witnessed a great development in the process of settling international disputes and the creation of new mechanisms in settlement based on prevention by preventing the emergence of disputes as in preventive diplomacy mechanisms, and in peace-making, peacekeeping and peacebuilding after the end of the conflict
