Abstract

COVID-19, the disease caused by a new coronavirus, has quickly raised the world concern by spreading globally at an accelerated rate and is now a pandemic, according to the World Health Organization. But limited data are available for pregnant women with COVID-19 infection.
The pregnant women present a unique challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic and several questions remain about pregnant women and their newborns. whether they will develop distinct symptoms from non-pregnant adults and whether COVID-19 could spread vertically pose risks to the fetus and neonate.
