The study aimed to identify the current situation and future prospects of the competitive performance of the ICT sector in Egypt. The study used the inductive approach through the descriptive analytical method. The results showed that the competitive score of Egypt during period 2012-2019 was higher than the average of lower-middle-income countries, but it lags behind the average in Arab states and Sweden, and the Egypt's competitive performance in 2019 has many strengths and weaknesses, and the implementation of Egypt Vision 2030 is expected to positively affect the competitive performance of the sector. The study recommended encouraging high-tech exports, reducing the digital divide, developing mobile apps development, increasing businesses participation in the network economy, providing more government online services, and reducing pollution from technology industries.
