يتناول هذا البحث دراسة "تعقبات ابن الصلاح في "مقدمته" على أبي عبد الله الحاکم"، جمعت فيها ما وجدته من تعقبات ابن الصلاح على أبي عبد الله الحاکم، وقد بلغ عددها ستة عشر تعقبا، وقد اشتمل البحث على مقدمة، وستة عشر مبحثا، وخاتمة، وبعد الدراسة والبحث والنظر في أقوال العلماء في المسائل التي تعقب فيها ابن الصلاح أبا عبد الله الحاکم رجحت قول ابن الصلاح في أحد عشر تعقبا منها، ورجحت قول الحاکم في تعقبين منها، وأما باقي المواضع -وهي ثلاثة- فليس في الحقيقة خلاف بينهما، وإنما هو اختلاف في وجهات النظر أو في صياغة المبحث.
 Praise be to Allāh, and may blessings, peace be upon the Messenger of Allāh, his family, companions, and after:This research deals with the study of the tracts of Ibn al-Salah in his “muqadimah" to Abu Abdullah al-Hakim, in which I collected what I found from the tracts of Ibn al-Salih against Abu Abdullah al-Hakim, and their number reached sixteen.The research included an introduction, sixteen articles, and a conclusion.After studying, researching, and examining the sayings of scholars on the issues in which Ibn al-As-Salah followed Abu Abdullah al-Hakim, the saying of Ibn al-Salah in eleven chapters of them was preferred, and the opinion of al-Hakim was preferred in two of them, and as for the rest of the issues - which are three - it is not really a dispute between them, but it Difference in views or in the formulation of the research.
