لم تشهد المجتمعات البشرية قفزة علمية تقنية کالتي يشهدها العصر نظراً للثورة المعلوماتية الکبيرة التي فجرتها التکنولوجيا نفسها في مداها الواسع وانفتاحها الکبير على الوجود الإنساني کله، بل نحيا عصر التغير الجذري في حياتنا وتفکيرنا وحتى عملنا، فالعصر الذي نعيشه اليوم قد دخل مرحلة جديدة ابرز ملامحها السيل المتدفق من المعلومات المعرفية واحياناً تکون صعبة الإدراک ،وبدورها حدث انقلاباً هائلاً وتغيراً کبيراً في عمق الوجود الإنساني نفسه، وثورة نوعية کبرى في مجال المعلومات ، وأصبح العالم کله قرية صغيرة فيمکن نقل أي خبر في مدة زمنية وجيزة ، خلال التقنيات الحديثة وعبر الأقمار الصناعية والکمبيوتر والإنترنت والتلفاز وغير ذلک ، و أفرز لنا التقدم العلمي العديد من الوسائل والتقنيات الحديثة التي أسهمت وبشکل فعال في تطوير وتحديث جوانب عدة من المجالات في ميادين الحياة المختلفة ، الإنسان في العصر الحديث يقف أمام تحديات عديدة، ويواجه متغيرات متسارعة ، ومعلومات متضخمة تجبره على مواکبتها ؛ لذا فإن متطلباتها تحتم توظيفها بمستجدات العلم والمعرفة، ومواکبة التقدم العلمي رغم ما فيها من مخاطر تهدد منظومة القيم العربية الاسلامية

المساهمته في إثراء الأدبيات الخاصة حول ظاهرة استخدام الاتصالات الحديثة کإحدى وسائل التکنولوجيا الحديثة، حيث تزايدت إعداد مستخدميها في الآونة الأخيرة بشکل لافت للنظربحيث غالبية الافراد (وخصوصاً طلبة الجامعة) يمتلکون المبايل او يستخدمون شبکة الانترنت، واتسع نطاق تأثيراته المباشرة في ثقافة الأفراد واتجاهاتهم، فضلا عن تحديد مخاطرها وتوصيات للحد منها.
دراسة مخاطر الاتصالات الحديثة المختلفة على شريحة مهمه من المجتمع(طلبة الجامعة)، حيث يشکلون طليعة متقدمة من هذه الشريحة الاجتماعية، لأنهم العناصر المتدربة، والمتخصصة، والأساس في إحداث التغييرات الشاملة في مختلف مجالات الحياة، بطبيعة دورهم المؤثر في المجتمع، وقدرتهم على التفاعل مع الآخرين.
تحليل واقع ظاهرة استخدام الاتصالات الحديثة، من حيث إبراز التأثيرات المترتبة عن استخدامه على فئة طلبة الجامعة من وجهة نظر مدرسيهم.
