أهداف الدراسة: هدف البحث الحالى التعرف على طبيعة التغيرات التى تحدث فى بعض الوظائف المعرفية لدى مرضى الاضطراب الوجدانى ثنائى القطب و ذلک من خلال مقارنة عينة من المرضى بعينة من الأسوياء.المنهج و الإجراءات: لقد طبق البحث  على عينة من المرضى (30) من الذکور فى مقابل عينة من الأسوياء (30) من الذکور و مراعاة التکافؤ بين العينتين فى العمر(18-50سنة) و المستوى التعليمى و الاقتصادى. تم تطبيق اختبار وکسلر- بلفيو لذکاء الراشداين و ذلک لقياس الذکاء اللفظى، العملى و الکلى و لقياس وظائف الانتباة و الذاکرة على العينتين. النتائج: وقد أوضحت النتائج انحفاض أداء مجموعة مرضى الاضطراب الوجدانى ثنائى القطب عن أداء المجموعة الاسوياء فى الذکاء اللفظى و العملى و الذکاء الکلى و فى اختبارات الانتباة و الذاکرة و قد تمت مناقشة النتائج فى ضوء الإطار النظرى و التطبيقى للبحث.

Some Cognitive Functions of Bipolar Affective Disorders Patients
Abstract:The current study aims to identify the nature of the current changes taking place in some cognitive functions in patients with bipolar affective disorder and compared between the patients sample and the normal sample. Approach and actions: We have applied research on a sample of patients (30) of the male in exchange for a sample of normal (30) male and takes into account equality of the two samples of old age (18-50 years) and educational and economic level. The application test Wechsler-Bellevue intelligence for adults and to measure verbal IQ, total IQ and practical IQ to measure the functions of attention and memory on the two samples. The Results: Have shown patients a decrease in the performance of a set of bipolar affective disorder on the performance of the control group in verbal IQ, practical IQ, total IQ, attention and memory tests and the results have been discussed in the light of the theoretical framework of the research and applied research.
