The problem of the research is that the suburb areas in Egypt are characterized by lowering yhe level of public utilities and services such as providing potable water, electricticty and sewage, along with the buildings are unsafe environmentaly and unhealthy, also these suburb areas lack of any aesthetic aspects and green areas. From here the research aims to show the importance of indicators of quality of life in giving accurate picture about quality of life in urban communities, anh to what
extend it achieved the goals of development, in addition to that the research showed the importance of the environmental
urban management in achieving quality of life and providing good life for residents in the unsafe suburb areas through providing the essiential needs to them. As long with demonstrating the elements of the environmental urban management which are related strongly with the quality of life represented in urban social services, urban economic development,  natural resources, and infra-structure by making an analytical study about the unsafe suburb areas in Egypt and by taking Ramlet-Bulaq area as a case study to show how by applying environmental urban management could achieve quality of life for residents in these areas. 
The research resulted that environmental urban management is an essential base that urban development can support on it to achieve the quality of life, also the research resulted that the environmental urban management has achieved quality of life for the residents of the unsafe suburb areas by providing good life for them.
