Abstract: The research shows the method of the Qur’an in addressing t, its formula and its effect on praise and slander, And their effect on praise and slander, then he reviewed the verses in which God praised a group of the People of the Book, which amounted to eleven verses, then the researcher extracted the attributes that God praised for this group, and these attributes fall under four headings: knowledge, faith, worship and morals, then The research showed that the group intended for praise is the one who recognized the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from among the People of the Book and believed in him, such as Abdullah bin Salam and his companions from among the Jews, the Negus, and the Christians who embraced Islam. Only Sheikh Muhammad Abduh and his student, Professor Muhammad Rashid Rida, disagreed in this regard. They argued that success and victory in Paradise in the Hereafter and the satisfaction of God Almighty depends on the sincerity of belief in Him, and there is no consideration for the lineage of peoples, their religion, and the religion they adopt.
