تتجلى أهمية هذا الموضوع في أنه في هذه الظروف الحرجة من تاريخ الأمة الإسلامية بحاجة إلى الترکيز على أن يکون الجهد والعمل الجماعي منهاج حياة المسلمين في جميع المجالات، وفي مقدمتها الجانب الفقهي للأمة، حتى مع غياب الوحدة السياسية، والاجتهاد ضرورة حتمية في الأحداث والوقائع اللامتناهية، وما تميزت به هذه الدراسة عما سبقها: تعريف (الاجتهاد الجماعي) باعتبارها مرکب وصفي، فلم يسبق لأحد من الباحثين أن عرفه من هذا المنظور، والتعريف من هذا المنظور يُستشف من قول بعض العلماء الذين جعلوا الاجتهاد الجماعي ضابط من ضوابط الاجتهاد في هذا العصر، ومن أهم نتائج البحث: أن أفضل سبيل للاجتهاد اليوم مع شدة التآمرات على الإسلام وشريعته، وضعف الثقة في الاجتهادات الفردية هو الاجتهاد الجماعي ففيه العصمة من الزلل، وهو السبيل إلى توحيد الأمة خصوصَا في المسائل التي تخصها، وأما ما يخص الأفراد من نوازل فلا مانع أن يکون الاجتهاد فيها فرديًا؛ فالاجتهاد الجماعي يحتاج المستفتي إلى فتوى حالَّة فيما وقع به من نازلة.
The importance of this topic is manifested in the fact that in the current critical circumstances witnessed by the Islamic nation, it is necessary to have concerted efforts and collective action as a way of life for Muslims in all fields, foremost of which is the jurisprudential aspect of the nation, even with the absence of political unity. Ijtihad (Reaching a jurisprudential ruling on a new issue through reasoning) is an inevitable necessity due to the endless events and new issues of life. What distinguishes this study from the previous ones is the definition of (collective or team ijtihad) as a descriptive element. None of the researchers has ever defined it from this perspective, which can be deduced from the statements of some scholars. They have made collective ijtihad one of the controls of ijtihad in this era. The most important result of the research is that the best way for ijtihad today, given the intensity of the conspiracies against Islam and its Sharia and the lack of confidence in individual ijtihad, is collective or team ijtihad, which can protect scholars from error, and unite the Muslim nation, especially in matters that concern the whole nation. As for minor issues that pertain to individuals, there is no objection to making individual ijtihad.
