Abstract

Indomethacin administration at a dose of 25 mg, three times a day for ninety days to
a group (n: 20) of oligospermic men caused an increase in sperm count and motility,
a higher level of plasma testosterone and a lower seminal prostaglandin E than the
corresponding values before drug intake. The pregnancy rate was 15% (3 out of 20).
The present result indicates that indomethacin could be helpful in the treatment of
some cases of male infertility.
