الملخص
تحاول هذه الدراسة البحث في الجوانب الاجتماعية التي تضمنتها رسائل الأديب المقدسي خليل السکاکيني التي أرسلها إلى ابنه خلال دراسته في الجامعات الأمريکية في الفترة ما بين 1931-1937 ، وذلک من خلال الاعتماد على تلک الرسائل کمصدر رئيس بالنظر لما اشتملت عليه من معلومات غزيرة وثرية تناولت جوانب اجتماعية متعددة في الشؤون العامة والخاصة على حد سواء لا تتوفر في المصادر الأخرى.
ارتکزت الدراسة على محورين رئيسيين تناول المحور الأول الجوانب الاجتماعية المتعلقة بالمجتمع المحلي وبشکل خاص المجتمع المقدسي، منتقدًا المظاهر السلبية فيه، کما تحدث عن الزعامات التقليدية والنخبة المثقفة بالإضافة إلى أرائه تجاه المرأة وحريتها. أما المحور الثاني فتمثل بمجموعة من النصائح والتوجيهات والإرشادات التي وجهها السکاکيني لابنه .
وتبين من خلال هذه الدراسة أن السکاکيني کان منخرطًا في الحياة اليومية للمجتمع المقدسي ما مکنه من الاطلاع على حقيقة هذا المجتمع بحسناته وسيئاته، منتقدًا الکثير من العيوب والمفاسد الاجتماعية السائدة آنذاک في أوساط المجتمع الفلسطيني بصفة عامة والمقدسي بصفة خاصة.
واعتمدت الدراسة على منهجين هما المنهج الوصفي والمنهج التاريخي وذلک من خلال تجميع المعلومات والحقائق ثم مقارنتها وتحليلها وتفسيرها بغية الوصول إلى تعميمات تکون إلى حد ما مقبولة.
Abstract
This study attempts to research the social aspects which are existed in Khalil al-Sakakini's letters to his son during his studies at American universities in the period between 1931-1937, by relying on these letters as a main source given the abundant and rich information they contained that dealt with aspects of Multiple social affairs on both public and private affairs are not available in other source.
The study was based on two main axes. The first axis dealt with the social aspects related to the local community, in particular the Jerusalemite community and the second axis which represented a set of advice, directions and instructions that Sakakini gave to his son.
The study relied on two approaches, the descriptive and the historical, by gathering information and facts, then comparing, analyzing and interpreting them in order to arrive at generalizations that are to some extent acceptable.
And it became clear through this study that Sakakini was involved in the daily life of the Jerusalemite community, which enabled him to see the truth about this community with its good and bad, criticizing many of the defects and social evils prevalent at that time among the Palestinian community in general and Jerusalem in particular.
