لقد تحدثت في هذا البحث عن جريمة الإجهاض وعقوبتها في الشريعة والقانون وتطبيقاتها في النظام السعودي
فإن الإجهاض أمر قد شاع وأنتشر في کثير من بقاع العالم في العصر الحديث نتيجة انتشار الزنا واضطراب القيم واختلاف الأديان وحياة القلق والکآبة التي زادت مع حضارة القرن العشرين الزائفة.
ونظراً لما تقدم فقد اخترت موضوع هذا البحث حول جريمة الإجهاض ولعل هذا البحث يوضح أبعاد جريمة الإجهاض من النواحي القانونية والفقهية کما أحاول أن ألمس الجوانب الاجتماعية للإجهاض لمساً سريعاً.
ولکن نظراً للحاجة للبحث في جريمة الإجهاض في کلاً من الشريعة الإسلامية والقوانين الوضعية والتي فيها تعدد واختلاف في التشريعات من دولة إلى أخرى ثم انتقلت إلى البحث في الشريعة الإسلامية فيما يتعلق بجريمة الإجهاض، وقد رأيت أن أختم هذا البحث بالإشارة إلى موقف النظام الجنائي السعودي من جريمة الإجهاض مع تقديم حالة دراسية من واقع تطبيقاته. ولذلک سوف يتضمن هذا البحث بابين الأول منهما عن جريمة الإجهاض وعقوبتها في القوانين الوضعية المقارنة. والثاني عن جريمة الإجهاض وعقوبتها في الشريعة الإسلامية وموقف النظام الجنائي السعودي من جريمة الإجهاض.
