The research aims to reveal the environmental, social, and psychological effects of the population adjacent to the railways and the role of the media in dealing with them. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach to determine the environmental, social, and psychological effects of the population adjacent to the railways. As well as a quantitative and qualitative description of the most important issues that the media focus on with regard to railway problems, and the research used a questionnaire tool to collect data prepared by researchers, namely: a questionnaire for the population adjacent to the railways, and the research was applied to a sample of (120) individuals for the population adjacent to the railway lines in the Sharabeya neighborhood, The results of the research reached to the environmental effects on the population, which were represented in the spread of diseases resulting from environmental pollution, such as chest diseases and skin diseases, and the social effects were represented in the spread of problems of bullying and drug abuse, The psychological effects were represented in suffering from a great deal of dissatisfaction with the decisions they make, and the research recommends removing the areas adjacent to the railways due to the lack of feasibility to develop them while providing an alternative, and conducting social research for the families residing in these areas through civil society organizations to identify their most important needs.
