Abstract

The study aimed to prove the effect of psychosocial support on improving stroke cases and the importance of the study in providing scientific explanations about the effect of psychosocial support on improving stroke cases and whether it differs according to the surrounding environment in which these patients live, and from the theories directed to the study that dealt with psychosocial variables theory Social support main effect model, stress protective effect model, physiological theory of stress, cognitive theory on stress and coping. - The method used in the study is the case study approach and this approach focuses on the case study in-depth study and its precise description and the environment in which they live and what their impact on these patients is to highlight the strengths and weaknesses. The study sample consisted of 18 cases of stroke patients aged from 40 to 60 The sample came in a variety of years in both rural and urban environments, in its combination of males and females. Among the tools used in the in-depth interview study is the systematic observation. - Among the methods used in the study is the descriptive method, the comparative method, and the results of the study found the effect of psychosocial support on the improvement of stroke cases in both males and females, and that all those who are subjected to psychosocial support improve their condition, whether in the urban or rural environment, and in both The male and female sexes. - The most important recommendations related to the study are psychological counseling, behavioral therapy and knowledge for stroke patients in particular and chronic diseases in general. - Training families on how to deal with stroke patients to provide a positive psychosocial climate by learning behaviors of how to deal with these patients. Creating a daily program for stroke patients that occupy their time, including reading some books, visiting relatives, exercises, physiotherapy sessions, and watching awareness programs.
