Abstract

The garbage problem is a daily problem that arouses the interest of many individuals and officials alike, which calls for the necessity of making better use of garbage and then converting a non-utilized and unused commodity into goods of interest. The study aims to identify various methods for benefiting from garbage quantities in Cairo Governorate, estimating the costs of garbage recycling at a waste recycling plant and the economic return from the recycling process, research mainly relied on cross-sectional data for a sample of garbage collectors (Alnabashin) in Cairo Governorate during the year 2018 using the direct questionnaire method, as well as the data of the factory you Fill in the RDF alternative fuel. The study results showed that the average annual price per ton of garbage sorting amounted to about 4.2 thousand pounds, 5.55 thousand pounds, 5.33 thousand pounds, in the Al-Zawya region, Al-Sahel district, Heliopolis district, respectively. The average annual cost per person for garbage collection is about 62122 pounds, 112250 pounds, 57619 pounds, in Al-Zawya Al-Hamra district, Al-Sahel district, Heliopolis district, respectively. Also, the average net profit for the company during the year was about 103262 pounds, 184210 pounds, 99372 pounds, in Al-Zawiyah district, Al-Sahel district, Heliopolis district, respectively. The results showed the RDF plant for the production of alternative fuels in Ismailia in 2018 that the plant receives 350 tons / day of rubbish, or about 128 thousand tons annually (solid municipal waste), and that the total annual total revenue of the project in 2018 amounted to about 22025 thousand pounds, producing 28 thousand tons Annually from RDF, fuel derived from objections, sold to brick and cement factories, at a value of about 19,600,000 pounds, and representing about 89% of the annual revenue value, and comes in the first place of the revenue value. The factory produces about 28,000 tons of organic fertilizer annually, which was sold to farmers at a value of About 1960 thousand pounds, it represents about 8.9% of the annual revenue value and its value It comes in second place from the revenue value, the third place comes the products (cardboard, iron, plastic, aluminum). The decrease in these quantities is due to the receipt of garbage for the recycling plant sorted by the scavengers group.
