Abstract

The current research aimed to develop the environmental responsibility of employees of the Nuclear Materials Authority through a proposed program in light of international standards for occupational safety and health. The research was based on the experimental approach through preparing the program, and a measure of environmental responsibility was prepared in order to ensure the extent to which the program's objectives were achieved. The validity and reliability of the scale and the program were verified by presenting them to a group of arbitrators and experts. The scale was applied to a sample of (30) male and female workers at the Nuclear Materials Authority before implementing the program, then the program was applied to the research sample, and at the end of the program it was repeated Applying the environmental responsibility measure to the research sample. The research concluded: There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group members in the pre and post applications of the three-dimensional environmental responsibility scale in favor of the post application. The research recommends the following: Applying the proposed Program to develop environmental responsibility for workers in nuclear authorities. The necessity of spreading awareness of the importance of activating occupational safety and health measures in nuclear authorities, and paying attention to the training and knowledge component of workers in a way that guarantees them the necessary protection from work hazards. The necessity of disseminating environmental programs in all different areas of training in the country's sectors, and focusing in particular on programs that develop environmental responsibility.
