Abstract

The study aimed to develop a proposed framework for the use of cost-benefit analysis in literacy programs to support sustainable development. In light of the interest in eradicating illiteracy, through the design of a system to manage the costs and returns of literacy programs that identify and measure the costs of these programs and helps to measure the return and economic return, which benefits the student and society. The study relied on the deductive and inductive approach, which is based on the collection and analysis of data and the use of statistical and mathematical methods appropriate to the nature of the data related to the problem of the study. The descriptive analysis method was used through a survey that included three questions distributed to the staff of the General Authority for Adult Education for 385 surveys. The study shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between the cost of literacy and the cost of literacy programs. It also shows a statistically significant relationship between the return of literacy programs and achieving the indicators of sustainable development. Cost-benefit analysis in literacy programs to support sustainable development. This system accurately shows the costs of literacy programs for each program as well as measures the returns from each program through the management of the costs and returns of literacy programs at the General Authority for Adult Educatio  Keynote Speeches: Costs of literacy programs - strategic planning - sustainable development
