Abstract

The aim of the study despite the broad range of issues investigated in the field of problem solving little attention has been paid to the effects of cognitive style sample eight secondary schools four for boys and four for girls were asked to submit nominations of gifted students to participate in this study there the findings demonstrate that is not only individuals abilities which influence problem-solving performance but also the individuals cognitive style which mediates the relationship between the person and eventual acchivement.
