Evaluation the Role of Hepcidin in Women with Osteoporosis

Abstract

The research included Estimation of some biochemical parameters like Hepcidin hormone , parathyroid hormone, vitamin D3 ,iron ,calcium, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, VLDL, paraoxonase, glutathione-s-transferase, BMI ,and ceruloplasmin in serum of women with osteoporosis after menopausal, the results shewed a decrease in the levels of (Hepcidin hormone, vitamin D, calcium, hemoglobin, BMI, and albumin) in the blood serum of the patient group compared to the control group and an increase in the levels of (parathyroid hormone, iron, paraoxonase, glutathione-s-transferase, ceruloplasmin, creatinine, urea, bilirubin, total cholesterol, triglycerides and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol) in the blood serum. of patient group compared to the control group. © 2020 NIODC.
