Uterine myomas are benign tumor of the smooth muscles and connective tissues of the uterus. Myomas arise in reproductive age women who may represented with menorrhagia, abdominal mass, pressure effects and infertility. The symptoms of myomas can be affected by size, number and site of the tumor. Myomectomy is considered to be an important option for women who suffer from symptomatic leiomyomas and want future childbearing .Myomectomy is removal of myoma(s) with leaving the uterus in place. Sever intra-operative bleeding is often a problem in this operation and indicating blood transfusion in up to 20% of women, and in 2% of women conversion to hysterectomy. Thus many methods are used to reduce blood loss during transabdominal myomectomy. One of these is interventions on uterine arteries as; pericervical mechanical tourniquet, bilateral uterine artery ligation, uterine artery embolization and hormonal tourniquets such as vasopressin. utero-tonics as (misoprostol and oxytocin ) and antifibrinolytic agents as(tranexamic acid) are also one of these methods
