Abstract

SELECTIVE estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) is the class of compounds which interact with estrogen receptor and exhibit estrogen action on some specific tissue as agonist and on some other tissues as antagonist. Here we will discuss about some basic or primary SERM and newly discovered SERMs which are very necessary for curing multiple disease in women. We know that estrogen is female hormone and misbalancing of this hormone on different age group produce multiple weaknesses and disease like Alzheimer, osteoporosis, endometriosis, angiogenesis, endometrial breast and uterine cancer etc. In individual so curing for these diseases many SERMs are available in the market.
