Abstract

Groundwater is the only water resource available in the New Valley. The groundwater in it represents a large water reserve., the research problem was represented in the limited water resources in the governorate and the emergence of some indications of the beginning of the depletion of the aquifer in some cloud, the research aimed to estimate the productivity function of wheat crop in the New Valley, the research relied on the methods of descriptive and quantitative economic analysis, The research relied on the primary data for a sample of wheat farmers in the governorate.
The results of the research showed that the acre productivity of wheat crop reached its maximum in the system of surface wells (spray). The most important factors affecting the production quantity of wheat crop are the amount of water used, the amount of municipal fertilizers, the amount of ammonia nitrate fertilizer per effective unit in the irrigation system using deep wells (immersion), municipal fertilizers, ammonia nitrate fertilizer and superphosphate fertilizer In the irrigation system using surface wells (immersion), the amount of water used and the amount of automated work in the irrigation system using surface wells (spray), the number of automated work hours per hour and the amount of municipal fertilizers in the irrigation system using both deep and surface wells immersion. It turns out that the return on capacity is decreasing in the case of using deep wells (inundation), shallow wells (spray), and deep and shallow wells together (inundation).
