Abstract

Agricultural exports are one of the main sources of financing development projects, in addition to supporting their ability to finance various imports without adding burdens to both the trade balance and the balance of payments. The depletion of natural resources is one of the most important problems that these countries suffer from due to their technological backwardness, and the situation in Egypt is not much different due to Egypt's dependence in its exportation on agricultural products, the consumption of water and the water balance remains in the agricultural trade in the amount of water used in the production of export and import agricultural crops known as virtual water. It is defined as the water latent in the community not explicitly but in a virtual form and referred to as the water need of the community.
