The problem of this study is high rates of unemployment and low productivity of the individual in the various sectors in general and agriculture in particular. This study aims to identify whether there is a surplus or deficit in agricultural employment. As well as to identify the most important characteristics of the labor force in general and the agricultural labor force in particular. The study is based on field data through a random sample of 400 farmers. In addition to secondary data published by publications central agency for Public mobilization and statistics, records information and decision support center in Assiut governorate, in addition to general administration bulletins agricultural.
