This research aims to set some lights on the development of the national investments (pubic and private) and its distribution between the commodity sectors in Egypt, during the period from 2001/2002 – 2011/2012. The study found that there is a continuous decrease in the agricultural investments. Inspite of this the income from agricultural sector is more than that estimated from the other commodity sectors and realized high efficiency. In this position the study recommends to redistribute the national investments between the economic sectors as well as increase the agricultural investments to realize real development in the Egyptian agriculture and at the national economy in general.
