Abstract

This research aims to: (1) extract the dimensions of the concept of hybrid learning. (2) Determining the level of knowledge of faculty staff related to the dimensions of the concept and use of traditional teaching strategies. (3) Determining the level of knowledge of faculty staff related to modern teaching strategies and hybrid learning. (4) To identify the extent to which students accept the use of modern teaching strategies, especially hybrid learning. (5) List the most important problems and obstacles faced by both faculty staff and students in applying the hybrid learning strategy. The results showed that lectures, reports, and lab classes were the most used traditional teaching strategies among faculty staff. The results also showed that electronic lectures, group work, and presentation groups were the highest used among faculty staff in the college. The rates of use among faculty staff were low in its three forms, which confirms the lack of use of these strategies. The students fully agreed with the faculty staff in the most common and used traditional strategies in the college, in addition to the students' preference for strategies of an applied nature. And that the most recent strategies that the students were exposed to were electronic lectures, group work, and electronic exercises. There have been many problems and obstacles presented by both faculty staff and students, which may be the reason behind not applying hybrid learning as it should.
