Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of studying the housing standards for institutions with visual special needs and their impact on their satisfaction and safety. In order to achieve the goal of the research, it was represented in a shell sample of 50 people with special visual needs in the Al-Nour Foundation for the Blind in Shata City, Damietta Governorate, and the research data was collected through a questionnaire whose data was completed in a personal interview, and the data was processed statistically using SPss (ver16) program to determine the percentages Percentage, Frequency, Arithmetic Average, Standard Deviation, Simple Correlation Coefficient, Alpharonbach Coefficient, Multiple Standard Partial Regression Coefficient, and the research results included the following:
1. The existence of a moral correlation between the residential environment standards for institutions for people with visual special needs (internal and external) with its dimensions of safety, self-reliance, privacy, freedom of choice, social relations, artistic beauty, plastic works, and both satisfaction with life and psychological security of the members of the institution
2. The presence of a significant impact that ranged between 9.7% and 26.3% on the internal and external environment elements of institutions for people with special visual needs with its dimensions on life satisfaction of its affiliates.
3.  The presence of a significant impact that ranged between 5.6% and 17.2% for the internal and external environment elements of institutions with special visual needs with its dimensions on the psychological security of the institution's affiliates.
