Empowerment of rural women and its relationship with life satisfaction in light of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030

Abstract

The research mainly aims to study the empowerment of rural women with its axes: (social, political, economic, and protection) and its relationship to life satisfaction in its dimensions represented in: (self-satisfaction, family and social satisfaction), as well as determinants of the degrees of empowerment in its axes of: (social , Political, economic, and protection), and life satisfaction of the respondents.
Depending on the number of families, Dakahlia governorate, Aja and Sinbalawin districts, and the villages of Anshasiyah and Shubra Qobala were selected. The research sample amounted to 203 rural women. Appropriate statistical analysis methods were used.
The most important results are summarized as follows:
The level of social, political and economic empowerment of the respondents is low, while the level of protection is medium.
The determinants of the social empowerment degrees of the respondents are: the average number of years of education of the respondent's children, the monthly income of the family, the degree of utilization of community services, and social intelligence, while the determinants of the degrees of political empowerment of the respondents are: family size, number of years of education of the respondent's husband, cultural openness, and motivation for achievement, while the determinants of the economic empowerment degrees of the respondents are: the average number of years of education of the respondent's children, achievement for motivation, and social intelligence, as well as the determinants of the degrees of protection for the respondents are: the average age of the respondent's children, the average number of years of education of the respondent's children, cultural openness, and social intelligence.
And finally, the determinants of the degrees of life satisfaction for the respondents are: the degree of utilization of community services, social intelligence, economic empowerment, and protection.
