Abstract

The research aims to work to increase the volume of exports of the bean crop through identifying the most important indicators of competitiveness for the exports of this bean in global markets, It is clear from the research that the amount of exports of green beans varies between increase and decrease, where the minimum in 2000 reached 3447 tons, while the maximum reached about 37597 tons in 2013, then it started to decrease and increase until the end of the period in 2018, and Egypt ranked sixth among the countries Exporting green beans worldwide reached by 6.08% of the total exports following France and America, where they ranked first and second respectively, and the most important importing countries were Spain and France with 17.1% and 10.7%, respectively, of the total exported quantities. The coefficient of the apparent comparative advantage of the green beans crop for Egypt reached about 21.39 during the period (2008-2018), which means that this export crop is an important crop that competes heavily in global markets. As for the price competitiveness index for the Egyptian bean crop, four important markets were chosen for export, namely the Saudi, British, Belgian and German market, where in the Saudi market it was found that the Egyptian green beans had no price advantage over American green beans competition because they are less than the correct one and have a price advantage in Turkish and Spanish beans compete, but in the German market we find that the values of the price competitiveness index for Egyptian green beans in relation to the prices of Mexican and French green beans are less than the correct one during the period (2008 - 2018), meaning that Egyptian green beans have no price advantage than the competition of Mexican green beans The French have a price advantage compared to the price of German green beans, but in the Belgian market, we find that the values of the price competitiveness index for Egyptian green beans in relation to the prices of Turkish and American green beans are less than the correct one, meaning that Egyptian green beans have no price advantage compared to the price of Turkish and American green beans in The Belgian market during the study period, as for Pal According to the German market, the values of the price competitiveness index for Egyptian green beans in relation to the prices of French and Mexican green beans are clear that they are less than the correct one, meaning that the Egyptian green beans have no price advantage compared to the price of French and Mexican green beans during the study period. It has also become clear that the price competitive advantage index of beans The Egyptian green for the price of green beans for Spain is greater than the correct one during the study period, which indicates that the Egyptian green beans have a competitive price advantage compared to the price of Spanish green beans in the German market during the study period. It is clear from the research that the average penetration factor for the external markets of Egyptian green beans is weak during the period (2008 - 2018), as for the highest average penetration factor for the British market it was about 0.17, which means that Egyptian green bean exports to the British market amounted to about 17% of the total consumption of beans Green within the British market, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached about 0.08, which means that the Egyptian green beans exports to Saudi Arabia represent about 8% of the total consumption of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and this gives an indication of the volume of demand for green beans for those countries that are importing.
