Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the possible cognitive or mood performance effects following the
administration of a single dose of 250 ml of the date's drink to healthy volunteers, using several cognitive
computerized assessments. Results showed that the palm date fruit could modulate many aspects of mood
performance in adults. In this study participants were more alert, calmer, and more content after taking date fruit juice. The main enhancement in cognitive tasks was noticed in the reaction time (msecs) on numerous memory tasks.
