Abstract

  This research was designed to study the identification of urban accumulation and its relation to the human behavior of the residents living in the residential units in the center of the city of Alexandria. The research tool included a questionnaire form collected through the personal interview, which consisted of (200) housing units and occupants were obtained In a random  sample. This research has been followed by descriptive analytical method. The results showed that there is a small difference between the sample members in terms of the internal environment of the dwelling, where the percentage difference was 8.66%, while the percentage of contrast with respect to the environment of the housing 10.68%, while the psychological and health problems related to the surrounding environment, Individuals sample 11.72%. On the other hand, the results showed that there is a direct correlation between the internal environment of the dwelling and the external environment . It was also found that there is a direct correlation between the human behavior and the representative in the (different types of affiliation) and between the social characteristics of the respondents and the economic characteristics, where the correlation coefficient values ​​were respectively 0.01, 0.05 and this result indicates that the social and economic conditions It is one of the most influential factors in the human behavior related to belonging, especially the residential affiliation.
