The role of ultrasound in screening of different Pediatric groups has been investigated by several study groups during the last years. Most of these studies demonstrated relevant sonographic findings in a range of 35-70% of all cases. A large-scale use of abdominal ultrasound screening procedures including in-Hospital as well as outpatients, was recommended by most of the authors. The aim of this thesis was to determine the clinical relevance and the differences of sonographic findings in both symptomatic and asymptomatic screening outpatients.The study included 10.114 patients all from Abu-Elrish Pediatrics Hospital Outpatient Clinics and were subjected to history, general, abdominal and ultrasound examination.
