Cryptorchidism is one of the most frequent anomaly of the male genital system with incidence of 0.8% at 1 year of age and 20% of the cryptorchid testis is non-palpable. Patients with non-palpable undescended testes create a major challenge because it is difficult to determine the location or the presence of the testis by clinical examination. The undescended testis has multiple hazards as infertility, increased risk of malignant transformation. For these hazards, the undescended testis must be treated as early as possible to avoid any testicular changes. Today, laparoscopy is considered the most useful and accurate method to diagnose and manage the non-palpable undescended testis. Laparoscopy for impalpable undescended testis offers a simultaneous diagnostic and therapeutic tool with great sensitivity and great hope for undescended testis patients.
