This paper is a part of major study on the stability of slopes reinforced with piles. Extensive numerical models of different cases of homogeny sandy slopes reinforced with row of piles are presented in this study. The pile – slope model is analyzed via elastic perfectly-plastic finite element model (2D PLAXIS) based on shear strength reduction method. The aim of this research was to study the effect of piles presence on the sandy slopes stability. Also, the optimum locations of piles that give the greatest factor of safety (F.O.S) of the slope stability were investigated. Moreover, the effects of the soil shear strength, slope angle, piles length and were also studied. The results showed the inculcation of pile row has moderate effect on the stability of sandy slopes. Also, the optimum location of piles depends on the shape of slip surface and the depth of the soil movement.
