يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة وتحليل الجريان المائي وتقدير حساب كميات مياه السيول ومعدلات تدفقها اعتماداً على طريقة (Unit Hydrograph SCS) وحساب عمق الأمطار لفترات مختلفة بحوض أم ضلفة بالصحراء الشرقية بمصر والتي تقع عند تقاطع خط طول 40' 33° شرقاً مع دائرة عرض 27° شمالاً، ويغطي مساحة 547.58 كم²، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة فقد تم الإعتماد على عدد من المناهج والأساليب أهمها منهج التحليل المكاني إعتماداً على نماذج (HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) ضمن حزمة برنامج (WMS) (Water Modeling System)، نموذج الهيئة الأمريكية لصيانة وحفظ التربة (SCS_ CN) Soil Conservation Service والنماذج الهيدرولوجية الملحقة بنظام النمذجة الهيدرولوجية (WMS) منها النموذج الهيدرولوجي (HEC-HMS& HEC-1) النموذج الهيدروليكي (HEC-RAS). كما تم الإعتماد على عدد من الخرائط الطبوغرافية والجيولوجية مختلفة المقاييس بالإضافة إلى المرئيات الفضائية ذات الدقة المكانية المختلفة. تناول البحث عدة محاور تضمنت الملامح الجيولوجية لحوض أم ضلفة، وخصائصه المورفومترية وشبكة تصريفه، مع الإشارة إلى الخصائص الهيدرولوجية، ومعاملات نموذج صيانة التربة (SCS - CN)، وكمية المياه المتوقع سقوطها والموازنة الهيدرولوجية لها، وأخيراً خصائص مياه السيول بالمنطقة بإستخدام منظومة (WMS).      This research aims to study and analyze the water flow and estimate the quantities of flood waters and their flow rates based on the (Unit Hydrograph SCS) method and calculate the depth of rainfall for different periods in the Um Delfa basin in the Eastern Desert in Egypt, which is located at the intersection of 40° 33' longitude east with 27° north latitude, and covers an area of 547 km2. 58 km2, and to achieve the objectives of the study, a number of approaches and methods were relied on, the most important of which is the spatial analysis approach based on the (HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) models within the Water Modeling System (WMS) software package, the US Soil Conservation Service (SCS_ CN) model and hydrological models attached to the hydrological modeling system (WMS) Water Modeling System, including the hydrological model (HEC-HMS & HEC-1) and the hydraulic model (HEC-RAS). It also relied on a number of topographic and geological maps of different scales as well as satellite visualizations with different spatial resolutions. The research addressed several themes that included the geological features of the Um Delfa basin, its morphometric characteristics and its drainage network, with reference to the hydrological characteristics, soil conservation model (SCS - CN) coefficients, the amount of water expected to fall and its hydrological balance, and finally the characteristics of flood water in the region using the WMS system.
