Abstract

This study integrates methodological approaches, including General System Theory, which seeks to systematically unify the natural and human sciences and was founded by Ludwig von Bertalanffy (1901–1972). It also incorporates Complexity Theory, originating from advancements in computer science but influencing the humanities as well. The research employs the Anthropology of Consciousness and its multiple approaches in addressing identity, considering "consciousness" as a key element in anthropological studies. The study connects the Anthropology of Consciousness with analytical psychology, particularly the concepts of the collective unconscious and archetypes, linking this analysis to the notion of worldview. This concept transcends ideologies and connects the unconscious and conscious realms in daily and folkloric practices that embody the authenticity of character and intersect with identity awareness.
This article elucidates the overlapping terminologies that may lead to conceptual confusion between national identity and cultural identity, highlighting why Egypt's cultural identity holds universal humanitarian value. It addresses the imminent risk posed by losing connection with Egypt's cultural character, which threatens societal cohesion. Concurrently, the article emphasizes the role of the collective historical unconscious in revitalizing this character harmoniously with contemporary times, avoiding rigid replication of the past.
