كان الهدف الرئيسي لهذه الدراسة هو استكشاف طبيعة العلاقة بين الرعاية التلطيفية لمرضى الزهايمر بمحاورها (العناية الطبية المتخصصة، الدعم الاجتماعي والأنشطة التفاعلية، إدارة الألم والتخفيف من المعاناة) وكفاءة استفادة الأسر من التسهيلات المقدمة داخل المؤسسات الصحية بأبعادها (سهولة الوصول للخدمات، جودة التواصل مع الطاقم الطبي، الدعم العاطفي والنفسي للأسرة).
     واتبعت الدراسة منهج دراسة الحالة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة الأساسية من (14) من معيلي مرضى ألزهايمر الذين يتلقون الرعاية و العلاج بمستشفى عبلة الكحلاوي لرعاية المسنين وعلاج ألزهايمر ،وقد تم تطبيق أدوات الدراسة المكونة من ]استمارة البيانات العامة مريض ألزهايمر و للمعيل الأسري ، استبيان الرعاية التلطيفية  بمحاوره ، استبيان كفاءة استفادة الأسر من التسهيلات داخل المؤسسات الصحية بأبعاده “جميع أدوات الدراسة من تصميم الباحثة"[.
     وبعد تجميع هذه البيانات تم تصنيفها وتبويبها واستخدام المعاملات الإحصائية المناسبة ببرنامج تحليل الرزم الإحصائية SPSS، وكان من أهم نتائج الدراسة ما يلي:
1-توجد علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيا بين الدرجة الكلية للرعاية التلطيفية لمرضى ألزهايمر والدرجة الكلية لكفاءة استفادة الأسر من التسهيلات المقدمة داخل المؤسسات الصحية" بينما يوجد ارتباط بين بعض المحاور دون الأخرى
2-يوجد تأثير دال إحصائيا للرعاية التلطيفية لمرضى ألزهايمر على كفاءة استفادة الأسر من التسهيلات المقدمة داخل المؤسسات الصحية.
3- يختلف الإسهام النسبي لمحاور الرعاية التلطيفية لمرضى ألزهايمر (العناية الطبية المتخصصة، الدعم الاجتماعي والأنشطة التفاعلية، إدارة الألم والتخفيف من المعاناة) في تفسير التباين في كفاءة استفادة الأسر من التسهيلات المقدمة داخل المؤسسات الصحية
  وقد قُدم من خلال الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات والتي كان أهمها:

يُوصى بزيادة الوعي والتوعية حول دور الدعم الاجتماعي في تحسين تجربة العناية بمرضى ألزهايمر.من خلال تنظيم ورش عمل وبرامج توعية للعائلات، خاصة في المناطق الريفية والنائية.
يُنصح مقدمو الرعاية بالخضوع لتدريبات متخصصة في التعامل مع مرضى ألزهايمر، بالإضافة إلى التدريب على تقديم الدعم النفسي للعائلة.
ينصح المعيل الأسري بالاستفادة من خدمات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي المتاحة للأسر التي تعتني بمرضى ألزهايمر، مثل الدعم الجماعي أو الاستشارات الأسرية.

 
The main objective of this study was to explore the nature of the relationship between palliative care for Alzheimer's patients, covering aspects such as (specialized medical care, social support and interactive activities, pain management and alleviation of suffering), and the families' utilization of the facilities provided within healthcare institutions, considering dimensions like (access to services, communication quality with medical staff, emotional and psychological support for the family).
The study followed a case study approach, with a sample consisting of 14 caregivers of Alzheimer's patients. The data collection tools included: [Alzheimer's patient and caregiver data forms, a palliative care questionnaire, and a family utilization of healthcare facilities questionnaire in its various dimensions—all designed by the researcher].
After collecting and categorizing the data, appropriate statistical methods were used in the SPSS software. The main findings of the study were as follows:

A statistically significant correlation exists between the total palliative care score for Alzheimer's patients and the total efficiency score of the families' utilization of the services provided within healthcare institutions, with some aspects showing stronger correlations than others.
There is a statistically significant effect of palliative care for Alzheimer's patients on the families' utilization of the facilities within healthcare institutions.
The relative contribution of the palliative care aspects (specialized medical care, social support and interactive activities, pain management and alleviation of suffering) varies in explaining the differences in the families' utilization of healthcare facilities.

The study provided several recommendations, the most important of which are:

Increasing awareness about the role of social support in improving the experience of caring for Alzheimer's patients. Workshops and awareness programs should be organized for families, especially in rural and remote areas.
Caregivers should undergo specialized training in dealing with Alzheimer's patients and be trained in providing psychological support to families.
Family caregivers should be encouraged to take advantage of available psychological and social support services for families caring for Alzheimer's patients, such as group support or family counseling.
