Abstract: This study explores the educational and moral values derived from the Prophet's biography and their role in establishing the principles of international humanitarian law. The research demonstrates that Islam was ahead in laying down legal and ethical frameworks for managing armed conflicts, particularly through the values implemented by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during wars. These values include mercy, fulfilling promises, kindness to prisoners, protection of civilians, and respect for human dignity, all of which align with modern principles of international humanitarian law. The study adopts various scientific methodologies, including the descriptive approach, which outlines the ethical and legal concepts in Islamic law, and the inductive method, which examines key instances from the Prophet's life that reflect the application of these values. The deductive approach was also employed to derive ethical implications that have shaped the evolution of international humanitarian law. Key Findings: Islam's Precedence in Protecting Human Rights: The study proves that Islamic law was ahead in establishing principles governing armed conflicts, such as respecting the rights of prisoners and protecting civilians—principles that are now enshrined in modern international treaties. Clear Impact of the Prophet's Biography on International Humanitarian Law: The values derived from the Prophet's life, such as mercy, fulfilling promises, and protecting the vulnerable, have provided a strong ethical foundation that influenced the development of modern humanitarian law. Alignment Between Islamic Law and International Humanitarian Law: The research highlights significant alignment between Islamic law and international humanitarian law in terms of protecting human rights during armed conflicts, reinforcing the universality of Islamic values. Practical Application of Islamic Values: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) not only preached these values but also applied them in practice during his military campaigns, making them a model for modern conflicts. Recommendations: Further comparative studies between Islamic law and international humanitarian law should be encouraged to highlight the Islamic influence on international legal frameworks. Raising awareness of Islamic values in armed conflicts, particularly in international legal institutions, is essential.
