Investing in culture has become part of the "creative economy," a concept that seems vague in many Arab countries or at least seems to lack the fruit of conscious scientific planning with clear, long-term goals. The goal of the graduation project of the Department of Home Economics at the Girls' College of Arts, Sciences and Education at Ain Shams University was to explore the identity of Egyptian society, monitor, record, and study Egyptian folk costumes, and highlight their most important characteristics as a sustainability goal. The project also sought to utilize cotton fabrics, which have distinguished Egypt since ancient times, and enhance their value by equipping them with environmentally friendly materials as a second sustainability goal. They presented the desired practical goal, which is to open the door to economic projects based on innovation and technology, as one of Egypt's goals at present.
