The research aimed to identify the role of sustainable development in achieving sustainable social and economic development. The research also aimed to identify the elements of the sustainable development plan, know the social and economic dimension, and reveal the relationship between the sustainable development plan and the economic and social dimensions. In order to achieve these goals, the method was used. Descriptive and analytical questionnaire was applied to a sample of (300) individual faculty members working in Egyptian universities.
