The research aims to analyze the price and seasonal fluctuations of the most important agricultural food products in Egypt during the period (2005-2023), and the study reached the following results: It shows an increase in the average prices of onions, local garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, ham, farm chicken, and tilapia fish during the last five years (2018- 2022) at a rate of 707.41%, 607.75%, 565.53%, 520.77%, 441.54%, 329.09% and 276.96% compared to the prices of 2005 in the same order. The general trend equations indicate an increase in the prices of onions, local garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, ham, farm chicken, and tilapia fish during the period the study has an estimated annual growth rate of 10.40%, 12.50%, 10.60%, 10.80%, 11.30%, 9.30%, 90% in the same order. The results of the study of monthly price fluctuations and seasonality indicate that there is an imbalance in price fluctuations around the average for all commodities under study, but it was found that there are no sharp price fluctuations in the selling prices of those commodities under study. The results of the model also indicated that the seasonal effect of the months of the year on prices was not proven significant for all commodities under study, except for the month of September for tomatoes. The results also indicated that there is an effect of the time factor on prices, as it leads to an increase in the prices of these commodities. Based on the above, the study recommends the need to increase the domestic output of these commodities under study in order to fill the growing gap by increasing investments to maintain price levels from sharp fluctuations, as well as from rising and stabilizing at the levels desired by consumers in proportion to their incomes.
