This research aimed to identify rural Women respondents' knowledge and Implementation of Technical Recommendations concerning Goats Rearing, to identify the respondents' information resources on technical recommendations concerning goat rearing, as well as to identify the most important problems facing the respondents while rearing goats, and also to identify their suggestions to solve these problems.
The research was conducted in Al-Nahda and Mariot sectors' villages in the Al-Amria district, Alexandria Governorate.
- Data were collected through a personal interview questionnaire.
- Percentages, frequencies, tabeles were used to show the results
The most important results were:
- 79.3 %of the respondents came in the category of a high level of knowledge of Technical Recommendations concerning Goat Rearing.
- 20.7% of the respondents came in the categories of low and medium levels of knowledge of Technical Recommendations concerning Goat Rearing.
- 82.6% of the respondents came in the category of a high level of implementation of Technical Recommendations concerning Goat Rearing.
-17.4 % of the respondents came in the categories of low and medium levels of implementation of Technical Recommendations concerning Goat Rearing.
- The respondents' information resources were as follows:
the respondent's husband (59.78%) , both of relatives and personal experiences (54.34%) , the veterinary unit (21.73%), the internet (14.13%), veterinary requirements merchants (13.04%) and fodder merchants (7.61%), rural development an engineer (4.34%), television programs (2.17%) ,finally extension bulletins (1.08%).
-The problems facing the respondents while rearing goats have come descendingly as follows :
High prices of drugs and veterinary services (67.39%), poor availability of counseling goat rearing through extension services (65.21%) ,high prices of forages(56.52%) , difficulty marketing goat dairy (42.39%) , finally difficulty controlling the goat moving for they are naughty animals(27.17)
The respondents' suggestions to solve the problems mentioned previously (above) were ranked descendingly as follows.
Controlling feed prices and supporting them (31.52%), providing the respondents with extension campaigns(activities) concerning goat rearing(26.08%), providing the respondents with veterinary medicines and reducing their prices (22.80%), then assisting respondents to market their dairy(21.74%), veterinary awareness(5.4%), crossbreeding with good strains to improve productivity(4.34%) , finally providing goat rearers with financial loans from the specialized banks (3.26%).

In the second place came the problem of the inappropriate size of the trays, as the problem was repeated 26 times, with a rate of 87%, and it ranged between a minimum of about 0.75 and a maximum of about 0.99. Confidence for the probability of the problem occurring between a minimum of about 0.70 and a maximum of about 0.97.
